In case you haven’t spotted them in bookstores yet, the Roald Dahl Story Company has officially endorsed new books that are “inspired” by Roald Dahl characters. There are two of them so far: Charlie and the Christmas Factory and The Twits Next Door.
I guess when a writer is gone and there’s no new content to flog, publishing fanfic is the next logical step.
I wasn’t quite sure where to put these books on the site. I was tempted to just file them as Merchandise, but then I remembered that they’ve been churning out lots of other related-but-not-written-by-Dahl books in recent years: Toddler books, Activity books, and random Miscellaneous collections. Makes sense to keep them all together, so I added another section for Inspired By.
