From Publishers Are Looking For A Crocodile Hunter:
A couple of weeks ago a reader sent in a desperate appeal for help. He had to have, he said, a first edition of Roald Dahl’s “Someone Like You,” and it had to be inscribed with certain phrases and no others. The first edition ran to 4.000 copies, but unlike most short-story collections, this one sold fast. However, the obliging publisher managed to find the necessary copy, and the author kindly provided verbatim the inscription.

Patricia Neal In Washington
WASHINGTON (AP) — Actress Patricia Neal, wearing a black patch over one eye and a brace on her right leg, planned to rest here briefly today before resuming a trip to her home in England.
The Academy Award winner, 39, is recuperating after three massive strokes. She flew here from Los Angeles yesterday with her husband — British writer Roald Dahl — and their three children, a nurse and an English friend.
The group is staying here until tomorrow.

Patricia Neal Set for Baby Arrival
GREAT MISSENDEN, England (AP) – Actress Patricia Neal, who suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in February, will enter a hospital Monday to await the birth of a fifth child.
Her husband, British wirter [sic] Roald Dahl, said she is feeling fine.
Miss Neal, 39-year-old Academy Award winner, was stricken while making a film in Hollywood. The stroke left her paralyzed and speechless but when she was flown to her home in Britain in May she had learned to talk again and to walk with a brace on her left leg. [sic – wasn’t it her right leg above?!]
