First Performance
The first performance, in concert form, took place on November 25, 1956, in Carnegie Hall, New York, with Warren Galjour, Leueen MacGrath, John Reardon, Brenda Lewis, and James Hurst, under the composer's direction. The
performance time was approximately 55 minutes.
